Last Sunday we sent an email saying that this year there wouldn’t be any convention at Woodstock, but instead we would have a second convention at Napan. Afterwards, we were not comfortable with that decision, and we realized that we sent that word out too hastily. We do plan to have the convention at Woodstock, and we will let you know about the exact format when we have had more time to discuss it. We are sorry for any sorrow or distress this lack of consistency may have caused

The convention ground owners then issued Stipulations for preps and convention @ Woodstock NB
*Convicted, reported or suspected abusers are Not welcome on our property.
*Those that have participated in moving abusive workers to other fields are not welcome.
*If any of the above offenders show up on our property they will be told to leave. If there is refusal to leave we will call the RCMP.
*If we find out after preps and convention that one of these abusers was present we will report to the RCMP.
*There will be no WiFi provided.
*The walking trails that are normally made available will be off limits.
*Be Kind and Considerate of one and other so we all can be safe and comfortable Any abusive language or behavior will not be tolerated, you will be told to leave.
This is our request to have sent out by you to all friends in the Maritimes and Maine before the Start of preps. A reminder of this letter will be made at the beginning of convention by you also.

Dear Bob and Stacy,
Thanks for your email We have been thinking a lot about the convention also. I think you are right about your first point; we have already asked any people with allegations against them in the past to not come to the convention. Even with that, we really think that it will be difficult to have the meetings there at your place without causing some kind of distress or conflict. We feel like we can’t really be sure to arrange the meetings there in a way that makes you feel at ease. As well, there are others who usually come there for convention, but they don’t feel comfortable coming. I don’t think it is right for you to have to leave during the time that we are there, and I would not want to have invited someone there causing you to feel like your principles have been violated
This situation has put many in bondage, so we have looked into getting a neutral location in a hall near Fredericton where we can have the meetings. There is a hall which is available from Friday to Sunday. There is room and facilities to have the meetings there. All things considered, it seems best for this year.
We do hope that we can have a profitable time together, and that you will feel free to be there also. All the best, and hope to see you in a couple of weeks.

I am very confused. I do not see any comment from the Bainbridge’s about feeling the need to leave their own property. I do see them saying others will be asked to leave if they are perpetrators or have allegations issued against them. Perhaps the discomfort is coming from the statement about those who have participated in moving offenders that is causing the distress.
Also, bondage is a strange word to describe the discomfort about coming by “others”.
Or maybe its the no wifi provided….

If you are reading this comment, I just want you to know that you are both amazing for standing up for righteousness! I wish all of the conventions would have the courage to do what you did! It IS your property, not the workers’! And you stood up for the right. Thank you from Washington State!
Such rubbish. My heart aches for Bob and Stacy. They have been through the mill😭 they can’t even be there for their abused daughter because these workers never quit their nonsense.
WELL DONE to the Bainbridges for setting boundaries to try to prevent abuse on their property, and for sticking to their guns. Apparently their requests of not allowing pedos or pedo-protectors on their property caused consternation, or was it turning off wifi so that anyone looking at anything illegal online wouldn’t bring police to the ISP owners’ door. Either way, the Bainbridges can hold their heads high and they definitely did the right thing.
To be honest I think in any situation there is a right way of doing it. Maybe all the attempts at public humiliation were too much for the workers in this istant.
I can see two sides to this and I don’t think all of it was honourable on both sides and certainly doesn’t come from a place of conflict resolution.
We are all proud of you for taking a proper stance Bob and Stacey in asking for very honourable restrictions for the convention that is on your property. These restrictions would make the convention save for everyone. Sorry for the stress you must be facing having received this very cold, to say the least, response of moving the convention to a hall in Fredericton instead.
This apparent option that was proposed to you folk to leave your own property? HELLO!!!! That is so preposterous and incomprehensible that such a request would ever be proposed!!
There is so much wrong in all this! How can a person even begin to believe the arrogance of those that are the decision makers in all this?
Your daughter was sexually abused, and you are told that “No she wasn’t”. That is so appalling just in of itself. She has professional proof that she was indeed abused, but she is not believed!!! This is grievous!!!
You tell her story, and you get your convention taken away.
If Only! we could hear despairing regret, a deep sorrowful mourning from those that covered up and continue to cover up, rather than “SORRY WE GOT CAUGHT.”
Where are the great men that Jesus described in the bible; “He that is greatest among you will be a servant to all.”
IF ONLY! we could hear the desperate cry of anguish from the Sheppard’s toward the grief-stricken sheep
IF ONLY! then we could grieve together the sheep and the Sheppard without fear of retaliation, without fear of being condemned. Then we could move forward with God’s healing power.
Speaking among so many of the friends and the consensus is WE ARE NOT OKAY WITH ANY OF THIS!!
mferguson I’m interested in your observation. I don’t know any of the parties involved so have just read it with what I feel is an unbiased outlook and it seems to me this issue has been unresolved for a couple of years now and the Bainbridges have finally had enough.
All credit to them that they even considered having convention on their property (your home is usually your safe place) with the abysmal way they and their daughter have been gaslit.
Personally if I lived over there, I would NOT be attending the convention in a hall this year, to send a message to those overseers/workers that their behaviour and lack of accountability on this issue is not okay.
If I’ve missed something that gives credence to your judgement on Bainbridges I’d love to know.
I think a neutral site is a wise decision in this case. Observing the changing tone of the interaction over time, clearly the relationship between Bob & Stacy & the workers is far too fractured at this point. I’m disappointed in both sides & fear the relationship has become fractured beyond repair.

You hit the nail on the head when you said “the Bainbridges have finally had enough.” A certain amount of diplomacy (on both sides) is required to effectively host a convention. Whatever diplomacy existed has been fractured, which makes me feel that a neutral site is best for all concerned. I have nothing but respect for the Bainbridges and the situation they have gone through, and for keeping the gloves on for as long as they have. They have every right to make whatever demands they like for people on their property and the workers have every right to move the convention to neutral location if they feel that is best.
mferguson. What makes you disappointed? The overseers moving the convention to a “neutral” hall is a way of bypassing any accountability to the hosts of a convention AND the congregation. ALL convention owners and attendees should expect these reasonable asks be met. There is nothing out of the ordinary about the asks, in fact they are long overdue. No one wants criminals and enablers on their property or around their children.

The American workers and friends are showing that they are not willing to put up with CSA any longer but Canada is starting to lag noticeably. Here’s looking at you, BC and Alberta!
I am disappointed because it feels like the Woodstock convention is being weaponized. Bob and Stacy HAD to know that these “reasonable asks “ are NOT “reasonable asks” to the workers. Maybe in 5 years, but definitely not today. Too much gray area and too much authority relinquished to Bob & Stacy for the workers taste. And put yourself in the workers shoes. They have to organize all the visiting workers & schedule well in advance. Then they have to submit the list of visiting workers to Bob & Stacy for vetting only to have names scratched off that they have to go find replacements for and then submit to Bob & Stacy again? And the workers are probably afraid that Bob & Stacy will put the list out on the internet to solicit mass vetting, ie “Does anyone know if any on this list have been suspected of csa or transported a suspect, or been in the same car as someone transporting a suspect? “. In conclusion, let me be clear that I have much respect for Bob & Stacy & all they have gone through, and I do think that their demands were reasonable, but I feel they knowingly put the workers in a tough position with their “reasonable” demands.
I would say your are not for Bob and Stacy standing for truth..they have good reasons for the requests after all they have been through with Morgan…and the workers taking sides with the predators and not caring for the victims at all. This is sad and Dale, Ray and Jonathan attitude for truth and facts. So wrong..both Dale and Ray have covered up for the predators and will need answer someday for this. Dale is now in the hands of the RCMP for wrong doings.

One should be very careful when making the statement, “Dale is now in the hands of the RCMP for wrong doings.” unless you are going to provide evidence to support your claim. This discredits the authors vitriol.
Not sure how much clearer this can be made!! This entire situation is a clear demonstration of an example of a strong culture of Hierarchy. If you dare to go against someone who has been given decision making you will face retaliation.
Which stipulation listed below was so offensive? None of the stipulations were offensive at all but the problem was that Bob and Stacy dared to bring up suggestions at all. This can be the only conclusion because their stipulations should have been welcomed with complete support especially this year of all years.

Many of us have become aware and have observed a deep-rooted culture of emotional abuse used to control, by some, amongst the workers, not all of course, not by far. Unfortunately, there are enough, and you will pay if you speak up against the intimidation, invalidation, control, slander, bullying, malice etcetera.
2nd Corinthians 6 verse 1 to 8. Paul speaks of the workers and how they should be amongst us. We are glad that most are indeed this way but unfortunately it seems some of those in control now have lost sight of these verses and we truly pray that this will change very speedily, and we can all go forward rejoicing in a new awareness of unity between saint and servant.
1) We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2) (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
3) Giving no offence in anything, that the ministry be not blamed:
4) But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
5) In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watching’s, in fasting’s;
6) By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
7) By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
God is revealing these hidden things and we are grateful for this. Now we can all see the open wounds of the church and we can all join together with compassion for any wounded, and we can all patiently wait until the very last sheep is healed.

There is NOTHING neutral about changing the location of Woodstock convention. The response from Jonathan was a vicious twist of what was a required and a reasonable ask.
One very egregious statement from Jonathan was “I don’t think it is right for you to have to leave during the time that we are there, and I would not want to have invited someone there causing you to feel like your principles have been violated” He’s basically asking them to leave if they have these requests because it’s too inconvenient for the workers to comply. That suggestion was from JONATHAN and he must realize how cruel and thoughtless that would be, so he couches it in the negative, hoping the reader can’t see through his subterfuge.
But he is so lacking in integrity and decency that he twists and distorts and obfuscates with just enough skill to dupe some of you who read that letter and thought “that sounds fair”. The sneakiness is beyond the pale.
We both then will have to disagree on the definition of neutral.
Strange…. I can’t see any inappropriate requests in Bob and Tracy’s letter.
They woudln’t want the place where to be controlled by the frineds’ requests but they want to be the only ones controlling.
