The following is an email from Kathy Flippo to Scott Rauscher, overseer of Montana and Wyoming, shared at Kathy’s request. NOTE: Horace Burgess is no longer living.
Dear Scott,
You and I don’t know each other, so let me introduce myself. I am Kathy Neely Flippo. I was raised in the truth in SC. My parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents on both sides professed.
In 1963, when I was 11 and my sister was 8, we were molested by Horace Burgess, an “esteemed” worker. Apparently he was a prolific pedophile— as they usually are— and he molested many, many little girls. The workers knew…they solved the problem by moving him from one field to the next, leaving a long line of wounded little girls. And he kept abusing children. He kept changing and scarring lives, while he was protected by the overseers. And dozens of little girls were changed as a result. I am 71 years old, and the scars are still with me. And now it’s YOU, Scott. And Robert Corfield. You are helping plan his next days, and you need his help with lists. How about lists of his victims? Are you compiling those lists?
Either you are standing for right, or you are supporting evil. From where I sit, you are supporting evil.
I raised my children to believe that a man’s integrity matters. From where I sit, you have no integrity.

@Suzanne – we have to take Barry Barkley and Ray Hoffman out first, then remove all the rest of the overseers. But, these two evil beings are perched at the top of this hierchy, and they are DEMANDING that a path of return for the perpetrators be included in all the “Guidelines” that are being put out in each state. They aren’t putting it in writing, but rather meeting up with the overseers around the world and telling them face to face.

This is reminiscent of the stand little Ruby Bridges took. Ruby moved with her family to the city in hopes of a better life. Ruby lived just a few blocks from a good school but she was bussed miles to a substandard school. Then a test was implemented. A test for all the kids at the substandard school to see if they could go to the other school near where Ruby lived.
Ruby was one of four little kids to pass the test. And the only little kid to make a stand. See, little Ruby was five years old and black in New Orleans in the late 1950s. The good school was for white kids only!
On the morning of November 14, 1960, federal marshals drove Ruby and her mother five blocks to her new school. While in the car, one of the men explained that when they arrived at the school, two marshals would walk in front of Ruby, and two would be behind her.
The image of this small black girl being escorted to school by four large white men inspired Norman Rockwell to create the painting “The Problem We All Must Live With“, which graced the cover of Look magazine in 1964.
Suzanne, all it takes is one person to make a difference. There’s power in numbers and the numbers will come if one person is willing to stand. During the holocaust there were individuals that helped the Jews, willing to stand, and even die to help what they saw as an evil that needed to be dealt with.
Ray and Barry are two that need to be dealt with. If they find people who are willing to make a stand for what is right, and justice for the victims, at every meeting they attend, at every convention they go to, the signal will be sent. And more than that, the ice will be broken and the numbers willing to stand will increase and that is the only way for change to be made.
If you sit and remain silent you are complicit, going along, in agreement. You are as guilty as they once your conscience has told you to speak and you don’t. There are many good examples of making a stand.
“Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “It is your responsibility!””. See justice and act. Make a stand. If it’s only you, at least God sees one person who was actually doing what they believed.
Kathy, Robert cornfield has been taken care off. Scott is doing a job that none off us would want. things are coming around the ship is turning, slow but it is turning. So be patient……as the rest of us need to be.
From what I have read, Scott has had Robert helping with workers lists or some kind of lists…so he still has a foot in the door, hence this lady’s letter.
@Beholder – Even back then, Scott didn’t care that Corfield was diddling with little boys or anyone else for that matter…because, he had his own skeletons. I think Barry & Ray WANT all the overseers to be abusers, so they have something on them to hold over their heads. Then, they can threaten to expose them if they don’t do exactly as these two evil beasts say!
I remember you and your sweet family very well from our days together at Cassett. I am so sorry that you and your sister had this terrible experience!! I feel like words fail me right now in knowing what to say, but I applaud all efforts to expose this and eradicate it!!

So you are attacking Scott’s integrity because you were abused by a pervert in the ministry years ago that Scott had nothing to do with?
Before talking about Rauscher’s “integrity” one really needs to read the letter that was posted to him on July 2, 2023 and put up by Wings on July 9, 2023. Same goes for the one above that said to be “patient” with Rauscher’s shameful behavior.
Well if you clean your eyes out and read the letter. You can clearly see that Scott knows the abuser and knows the abuser abused children and if you honestly had half a measure of sense you could see that it probably isn’t wise for this worker to still be a worker, let alone shouldn’t be behind bars. And you’re okay with that? Not surprised. Old heads.
I am content to let Scott’s “integrity” speak for itself. After he said on May 18 that Robert had been removed from work and meetings….he sent this email:

He also sent a photo of convention cleanup, less than two weeks ago, with Robert standing there with the crew.
You can call it whatever you want. I call it a lack of integrity.
Exactly. No integrity…it seems that’s a necessary trait to becoming an overseer.
Scott and his supporters need to understand they have no authority, training, or expertise to determine whether someone is “not a risk” even if the offence was “years ago”. Just because THEY are ok with someone being in meeting or convention with allegations doesn’t mean they have the right to force this on others who are not ok with them being there. An “old” offence does not mean there are no victims. Focus on the VICTIMS, not the perpetrators. That is how you do trauma informed care. If the person with allegations is truly repentant, they will understand they forfeited the right to be around anyone who may be triggered by their presence.
@FLT – and IF they are truly repenatant they will go turn themselves into law-enforcement as their first step. NO asking them to go, they would just go!! Not one of these predators have turned themselves in!
Wonder what happened to this guy “Why” and if he still supports Rauscher? God will one day bring each one of us down – better to learn this lesson while one still has breath.

By now it’s obvious that they will lather themselves in self righteousness, and have the aroma of a sewage treatment plant just to make sure nobody attacks “Scott’s integrity “, or any of their other saints. It’s very telling what the group is about when they defend their leader, who is an avowed “follower of pornography “.

Junior Jones, either you don’t read so well, or maybe you simply don’t have the ability to understand, like some other people on this site. You write, “Lathered?”, while that word was never used in the above response. It must be the people that are carrying the water for the cult these days have so much venom that can’t see straight.
The post actually read, “By now it’s obvious that they will lather themselves in self righteousness, and have the aroma of a sewage…” This is referencing cult members.
To make this a little easier to understand for those that need to be spoon fed, it means the cult members who think that they are so righteous the result of their works shows quite the opposite. Hopefully that helps those people that are all in on the cult life and have difficulty seeing reality.

“Keepright”, are you a worker? Your handle ” keepright” sounds so self righteous. If not a worker, an elder wife? It’s interesting how people in the cult can see themselves as so right. And then, keep right? Like you can stay without sin, or blemish. There was only one who was able to keep right, and that was Jesus. The rest with that thinking are just self righteous.
As for “keepright”, “All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away”. This verse says, ALL. All means all and that’s all all means. Even keepright is in all.

Why — please, please do NOT attack this victim! Kathy said to Scott Rauscher, the head worker of Montana and Wyoming, “Either you are standing for right, or you are supporting evil. From where I sit, you are supporting evil”. This victim has every right to say that! Read the account on Wings For Truth, “Letter to Scott Rauscher from a Child Sexual Assault Survivor’s Parents”. This overseer has overlooked so much that it is very clear Scott Rauscher stands firmly with the sexual abusers. Scott Rauscher said of the child sexual predator, “We sure appreciate him greatly. He has a wonderful humble/ contrite spirit.” There is not one mention of the victims. Scott Rauscher, and MANY workers on his staff knew of a beautiful young child that was being sexually assaulted by a man the child knew and trusted. Scott Rauscher and these workers did nothing. This child’s cries for help were literally suffocated by a pillow, until she suffers brain damage. It is beyond the description of words. And, WHY, in your post you attack another victim. “Protect the workers at ALL cost” — this is not Christ like. Also, BEHOLDER, you said, “Scott is doing a job that none off us would want. things are coming around the ship is turning”. I would agree. The ship is turning, over, and will sink to the vast depth where it belongs.
I am not attacking the victim. I asked a legitimate question, because I actually know Scott. In your comments that you made are accusations against Scott that I know are totally false. And I don’t need lectures from self righteous little trolls like you, or Max, or Blind who somehow find the need to comment on everything, and obviously don’t know much of anything. I am actually in Montana and I know a bit about this situation and from your comments I know you are not here, and I doubt if you have ever even met the man. But because of this terrible CSA/SA situation in the Truth you seem to think from where you sit in your seat of the scornful you have the license often without proof or due process to attack, accuse, judge, and condemn anyone in the Truth especially the workers. In this case Robert Corfield has been put out of the work, but because it has been reported that Scott is talking with Robert apparently Scott has no integrity. In fact the insulting little troll here who calls himself “Blind leading the blind” angrily says if you “had half a measure of sense you could see” that Scott should be behind bars. And in a comment on a different blog on this site, you said we should all be angry to force the changes we want to be made. Really? Proverbs 21:24 describes you trolls.
Why, such anger and hostility. We get that you know Scott and want to think the best of him. That doesn’t however, change the fact that he along with other workers in authority, were very aware of the behavior of abusers and did nothing substantial to stop them for a long time. Inaction can be just as evil as action.
FYI – my good looking young kid professed through Corfield. Per the letters Corfield sent him afterward, know now he was being groomed. From the email above, it is apparent that Rauscher still has great respect for Corfield – he even saw the need to include a photo of this snake. Very repulsive. Words speak for themselves. These are very warped and twisted people.
By the way, 3 out of 4 in our our family are CSA/SA victims of “workers/friends”. Thus, this is not and agenda. This terrible perverted sickness of CSA/SA in the group has been silenced for too long and we finally have a voice on Wings. Thank God.

In the three months I spent in the Australian Outback, in the midst of my life coming off the rails, the people there said I had to try a vegemite sandwich. Regarding the Burgess boys, Weldon was a hard nosed overseer in a few different states. His brother Horace would tag along after Weldon at times. With Weldon riding herd in a state, Horace had free rein. We now know why Horace was able run free committing CSA crimes across the fruited plain. Nobody stood up to Weldon – God only knows if he knew what Horace was up to.
WHY, you said, “I actually know Scott”. WHY, how do you ” know” Scott Rauscher? Many, many people would vouch for Dean Bruer. They KNEW Dean Bruer! Dean Brief was a wonderful man of God. Dean Bruer, highly regarded and trusted to the point, nobody questioned the integrity of Dean Bruer. WHY, you do not know anyone, unless you: 1) spend extreme significant intimate time with that person under ALL varied circumstances, or, 2) you are that person. Scott Rauscher has a documented record of covering for sexual abusers, or at the very least, doing absolutely nothing when he was alerted there was sexual abuse going on. Facts are a thing that is known or proved to be true. That is fact regarding Scott Rauscher. WHY, you show a great amount of emotion and anger. First, deal with that, and then you will be able to see the facts. The facts on Dean Bruer, Scott Rauscher, Ray and Barry are indisputable. It is time to clean the swamp, or will the swamp always simply be a swamp?
Well said, in general we don’t know the workers and they don’t know us since we are in a constant guest/host relationship were we are at our best behaviour.I would say besides God our family and in the workers case their co workers knows them best.
Proverbs 21:24; “haughty look, a proud heart, And the [ a]plowing of the wicked are sin”. That very adeptly depicts Dean Bruer and many other people that have presented themselves to be glorified and were nothing more than an empty suit (or dress, for the woman folk).
I think we all have a right to know the truth about these CSA allegations. Are they all true? Are some true? Are none of them true? I’m assuming since no details have come out that they all must be true?
Secondly, can you imagine being a parent to some of these poor workers who have described being suicidal from the mental abuse from their companions? I’m all for removing the workers who have been committing the perpetual spiritual and mental abuse as well. Let’s “try those spirits” too. There really shouldn’t be anything to be afraid of. I’m totally fine with removing the workers who I know have been abusing their junior workers.
It’s amazing to me to see so many people defending their workers and their little fellowship by trying to discount all that’s been said here. “Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water”. That analogy doesn’t work here. There’s no baby and there’s no bath water. It’s a swamp filled with swamp monsters. And we’re trying to save children from entering it. I like that metaphor better.
If God is leading this fellowship, let’s prove it. I believe he will purge every evil if the light is turned on. Oh. Right. Nothing will change because we’re waiting for God to send a miracle?
Personally, I don’t need to hear any more sermons from workers who are abusive to their companions behind closed doors. I don’t know about the rest of you.
Also, can I see some conversion numbers from the workers? Can I see some “faith by works” from the workers? I dont see anyone preaching to nursing homes. I dont see any knocking on doors anymore. From what I understand, the saints invite their friends or co workers to fellowship meetings and then the workers try to “close them” at gospel meetings by objectively preaching directly to them.
The work looks like a great place to skate by and have the rest of your life planned out. Food, hospitality, occasional travel, no sales targets to hit for the quarter. Just gospel meeting after gospel meeting and then on to the next field. Tell your companion they are not doing a good enough job and then off to special meeting. Delete some emails, go on a hike, not tell the fellowship what pedophiles are coming to your field. Get it wrong when you tell yourself “he won’t molest again”.
Ps. I’ve read the Harry Potter books. Am I allowed to watch the movies?

Scott Rausher has proved again (letter to MT/WY 9-9-23 on CFF) to be a snake caring about no one and knocking down anyone who gets in his way. What an evil man.
A Little Research Needed:
Thank you for your assessment of my reading skills. The “-ed” on the end of “lather” is to indicate prior usage of the word “lather”.
I get the idea you have the 2×2 (or ex2x2) equivalent of DTS. Known in the political world as “Donald Trump Syndrome”. Some people hate him and make accusations and say vile things about him, but he still seems to hang around and some people fiercely support him. I’m sure you would find that EQUALLY mystifying.
CSA is horrible. So is adult sexual abuse, a cause of DTS for some. Many are accused, some are found guilty and punished. Some unfortunately get off Scott-free. (no intentional pun).
If you could overcome your obsession with revenge and punishment (which I feel should remain in the hands of qualified and/or elected authorities) you might find more constructive things to do that might actually provide help and comfort to victims. Instead of spewing nonsense.
