MT WY Overseer Scott Rauscher admits to following pornography

WINGS Note:

This report does not involve child abuse, so it is not strictly within the scope of WINGS. We have posted it because Scott Rauscher has been involved in managing allegations and cases of child abuse, and there have been complaints about how those case have been handled.

Following pornography is abhorrent to most members of the fellowship, but not illegal. Hypocrisy is also abhorrent. Much worse is failing to support victims or to properly process perpetrators.

UPDATE: Scott Rauscher resigns from the work February 21, 2024

Rauscher apology to MT/WY Staff & Friends.

February 14, 2024

Dear Montana & Wyoming Staff and Friends

I must get a letter to you all because I know you have been hearing about me and my use of the Facebook platform.

You need to know that my FB account was not hacked. But that I opened messages that came to my account that were of a pornographic nature(sometimes referred to as soft Porn). I do not know who they came from or why they showed up on my account but “I did open and followed them at times.”

The Bozeman sisters encouraged me to go to the police in order to obtain some proof that I had been hacked. I did not go to the police knowing that this was my own fault.

I am terribly sorry for the distress and broken trust that this has caused each of you as well as many others..
I do apologize for this and hope I can make any amends possible.

I have had visits with some on our staff about this and also with some of the older brothers in western US. I am reconciled to whatever the future holds for me knowing it is now in the hands of our Father in Heaven and also in the hands of others.

Humbly & Respectfully yours

Scott

Sister worker letter to Bozeman friends

Dear Bozeman Friends,

Below is a letter that Scott Rauscher has written to us workers and to you all. We are deeply disappointed as our own trust has been broken yet again. In our own words we told him, “We will trust you until we can’t.”,,, Unfortunately, this shock has made that time come, and we are sorry for all as we experience this sense of betrayal from another brother that has fallen.

May this experience only drive us closer to our Father’s side. He can heal and give clarity in ways that no human being can. He has a way forward and we trust He will guide us in it. May we be found interceding for one another, as we all desperately need each others’ prayers. This includes Scott.

These have been extremely hard times in so many ways for each of us, but we want to keep focused on Jesus. Yes, we truly feel weary as you all do. too, but please know we really do care about you in all of this, too.

With appreciation for each,

Tammy, Heidi & Alexis`                                                                                                                     2/15/24

Subject: APOLOGY

Dear Friends (Great Falls, Shelby, Fort Benton)

I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to share this letter with you yesterday.  I’m sure that most of you have already ready or heard about my letter that I sent out to the MT/WY Staff & Friends.

After some visiting and wise counseling from Elders we feel that it would be better for us to put the Sunday Gospel Meetings on hold.

We are very sorry to add to all of the stressful time we are going through.  John & I will remain here in the area and continue to be available for visits.

We love & respect each of you in your God given Faith.

Please accept my humble & sincere apologies

Scott R.

  1. Scott, to stoop to pornography, and then try to justify it, because you consider it “soft porn” is even more evil than just admitting you were looking at things you shouldn’t be been, and then proving by your actions to everyone that you are truly sorry. You need to graciously step down. From the very beginning of your reign you should have been taking care of getting the wolves out of your flock, but you couldn’t and wouldn’t because you were too busy abusing women yourself! Just because these women are on a public site doesn’t mean they gave consent to be photographed or put on public display. Did you ever stop to consider that there was another abusive pervert who’s forcing them for the sake of profit? You visiting those sites only encourages more abuse/kidnapping/hostages!!
I think you’ve done enough damage to the flock. We don’t need wolves in positions that are supposed to be the “head authority” of a region.
This proves again, that if an overseer isn’t getting the predators out – ZERO Tolerance, and keeping them out…it’s because they too are abusing someone/many in some capacity, and their conscience is terrified that they too will be outed. So, pay attention folks…and if you too are tired of these men allowing predators to have access to your children (like Kent Williston, Richard DenHerder, Craig Winquist, Barry Barclay, Ray Hoffman, etc.) start digging into their lives…they are hiding things! We already know Jim Chaffee is a predator that Richard DenHerder just keeps moving around – watch out all you ladies and children in the Nevada/S. Utah/ETC fields).
Rise up and fight against this evil, we are to put on the whole armor of God every morning…Soldiers wear armor, couch potatoes don’t!

    • Agreed! They should be treated like they have treated those in the past that they have thrown out of the work…telling them to “go apply for welfare, food stamps, and public housing”.
The congregation paid for everything they own (or their parents did).
I also think that every worker should hand their computers/phones/ipads (electronics of every kind) over to a computer expert/police department to comb through them all. They can still pull up everything that has been deleted if some think they can hide criminal behavior by deleting their history. This should be done at a minimum of every six months.

  2. Scott Rauscher: “You need to know that my FB account was not hacked. But that I opened messages that came to my account that were of a pornographic nature(sometimes referred to as soft Porn). I do not know who they came from or why they showed up on my account but “I did open and followed them at times””. Scott, so you don’t know how these porn ” messages ” showed up on your account? It’s called “cookies”. Computer cookies are small files used by web servers to save browsing information, allowing websites to remember your device, browser preferences, and associated online activity. Scott, you went to porn websites, thus you left cookies with your computer address and then porn material was sent to your computer. You ” did open” this new porn material and left more cookies. This leads to more porn being sent to you. By the looks of it, you were quite busy trying to figure out where all the porn was coming from. A quick Google search next time will help you answer such questions. …That study on silence, you said, “I’ve not studied it out. But it looks to be a good study”. Maybe that would be something you could do with your time. It appears Facebook and the computer is only going to get you in trouble.

    • Consider this; Rauschers hand was forced by the three sisters when he realized law enforcement examination of his devices could land him hard time. But no worries about that, Doyle Smith, Master Phone Wiper is enroute from Oregon to fix his little problem during the cancelled gospel meeting time. Remember, these men are BUSY.

  3. This is sickening:
I just looked up the group ‘Knif Files: Revenge of the Knif’ that Scott is following…this is probably even sicker than the pornography!
The history of this group comes from another place…and refers to the “knif” – which is a knife that’s better than a regular knife, which is used to kill people…(or also refers to a part of the male anatomy that’s used to destroy a women’s insides because of the violence), while…the “Files” part of the name refers to females. So, they are “kniffing” the females via sexual intercourse.
He needs to be headed to prison, for even thinking this is okay fodder to spend his time on!

    • Exactly, henoffour. His true colors are on display. Is this really the best you can do, Ray Hoffman? This was the best overseer you could find for MT/WY? Says a lot.

    • Oh, henoffour: HOW HORRID! This just turns our ability to cope: to off!
((Is this a replay of Ira Hobbs. Did HE have this twisted mind also. That would also explain his actions! AND they both THINK they did nothing wrong.))
That trio in Wyo-Montana-Washington remove an elder for insisting on the right of a professing soul to take the ’emblems’. An elderly mother- grandmother – great grandmother who was an elder’s wife for decades and now has dementia; but her family caringly help her to be in meeting. That trio with only the highest values and standards: saw fit to “UNcommunion” her of that sacred act at the close of “FELLOWSHIP”!
After once, being told what the ‘elder’ must-do, he used his own judgement and continued the rite of emblems to her, explaining each person should have the right to decide. This “elder” and his family had the honor of receiving the call of providing a special dinner for 2 sisters and two bro: yes “wurkers”; who, after feasting: and on a FULL Gut Lowered the BOOM!
Yes, you got that right! He and his family GOT AXTED! YES, I mean Chopped unmercifully. They were so socked, that they sat stunned as the “MINISTERS” with full bellys; silently slid out the door. Then drove just mere blocks to report they had been brutally kicked-out of this elders Home. They were very careful that each in the “fellowship” for miles around, were informed of this LIE.
This elder was sooo very confused about it that he tried to reason with the “”overseers””. He was hit with a ‘brick’ each time, the higher on the totem pole he went.
OH, how many souls have to be sacrificed before this complete Only One True WAY is made to pay for all the damages of their actions and extreme abuse of ‘all kinds, to so many innocent souls.

      • @Astounded – Well, it’s not the workers right to get between God and any soul, and telling someone that has been being led by the Spirit of God, that they can not have communion with Him…wow! Wouldn’t want to be paying that price on Judgement Day!!

  4. Looks like Scott is a Trump supporter like many other male workers that we have encountered. It is sad that they support a man who has repeatedly demonstrates that he does not respect women- likely because they do not respect women either. What we feed on becomes who we are! So sad!

    • @Disrespecting Women – shame on you for disrespecting the female and male victims by bringing politics into this arena.

You clearly have your head up somewhere dark if you think the only people harming women are republicans…because, I know for a fact that many of these current workers are as liberal as a spineless rag doll.

  5. Did everybody who looked up these sites enjoy them? 😅

Be sure to scrub your own computer, the FB trolls might get YOU 😱😬!

    • @Junion Jones – If you read your Bible as thoroughly as you’ve read the above comments, you may as well not even open the covers.

I don’t see where anyone on here has “looked up these sites”. I certainly didn’t, but I did research how one of the sites came up with their name and what they stood for.

Your disrespect for the female and male victims by posting an off colored comment is disgusting.

      • I read YOUR reprimand of “off-color “ comments. Thank you. Computer forensics can check your search engines history as well as pages you follow. MY Bible indicates the Lord knows before I even look it up. Since you have searched with a pure heart, discovered “Knif Files” true meaning and explained it so clearly, I’m sure you are absolved. Meanwhile I’ll continue to trust HIS judgement.

  6. Very ironic that of the 100 plus sites that Rauscher was following, not one was Christian or Bible related. This guy has way too much time on his hands. He and all the others of his ilk need to get a job in order to finance their lifestyle.
If Doyle and Darrel have any integrity left, they will have a forensic expert analyze Rauscher’s computer and phone, and then turn them over to law enforcement, if content history requires that step. Research shows that most do not stop at “soft porn”, just like perps and peds do not stop with one victim.

    • Bucky, you said, “This guy has way too much time on his hands. He and all the others of his ilk need to get a job in order to finance their lifestyle”. It’s interesting that when William Irvine and his side kick, Edward Cooney parted ways, after starting the cult, they both took their faithful followers with them. William Irvine had more people known as “the way”, which is now going through great upheaval due to the corrupt leadership and its hierarchy. Edward Cooney had less followers but his group, very similar to Irvine’s, still exists. The Cooney group, the Cooneyites, however, has workers that are married, have jobs, homes and lives outside of being a worker. There is no hierarchy with everyone having equal status and there is no annual conventions. There is no big stories about sexual abuse with that group. While the Irvine group is not following Biblical teachings, or the word of God, by having dedicated homeless, and without a spouse minister, they still try to make it work even though it is showing signs of prolific sexual activity that is considered abhorrent by many. Both of the groups operate outside of the purview of Christianity, or that directed by Christ. Both are cults started by two men who had their own agendas. Many people who are seeking Christ have been duped by these groups and the leadership, just as other cults who play on peoples most intimate needs and vulnerabilities. And, Bucky, you are right, “(Scott Rauscher) has way too much time on his hands. He and all the others of his ilk need to get a job in order to finance their lifestyle”.

      • There is a cooneyite on CCF who has given some great insight into what they believe. They are even more into salvation by works than we are, so no thanks.

    • @Bucky – I agree. That’s why I researched that site (I didn’t go on it, as I don’t even have a FB account), but there’s plenty of information about it, to see that it’s a site that promotes sexual violence towards women. Scott is definitely hiding something. Most of the men who have been caught, eventually admitted to “one” victim…as many more rolled in with their truth about what happened to them. The victim they admit to is always the one they think will never press charges.

    • A comment states, “Very ironic that of the 100 plus sites that Rauscher was following, not one was Christian or Bible related”. This is a very astute observation. Christians cannot serve two masters because Jesus tells us we only truly love one master and hate the other (Matthew 6:24). In other words, your true master is the one you love. God cannot coexist with a second master as He is the One and Only. Then again, has Scott Rauscher ever said he was a Christian? Scott Rauscher did say about porn, ”I did open and followed them at times.” Scott Rauscher did at least acknowledge what he follows. And it’s not Christ.

  7. Scott Rauscher has been exposed but that means very little. If you’re upset about Scott and what he is doing, in the back bedroom in your house, you are not being a good group member. You have to realize Scott Rauscher is a leader. Leaders can, and do, go to prison and they will still retain their position (see the Wings For Truth homepage under the heading, “WORKERS”). The reason: this is a cult and the leaders rule. Head leader over ALL, Ray Hoffman, said of prolific sex molester Ira Hobbs, “ The things that we have felt needful to discuss here is in no way to take away from all the good that Ira has done”. IRA has done evil things to people and yet IRA still gets the support of the head leader, Ray Hoffman. Same with Scott Rauscher. These guys are not focused on Christ, nor are they faithful to Christ. They are only focused on and faithful to each other. They are focused on evil. The first two attributes of a cult is:

    Absolute authoritarianism without accountability
Zero tolerance for criticism or questions

The last two attributes of a cult are:

A belief that the leader is right at all times
A belief that the leader is the exclusive means of knowing “truth” or giving validation

It is sad many, many people seeking Christ still will fill the seats to hear Ray Hoffman, Craig Winquest, Scott Rauscher, Jerome Frandle and the endless list goes on. The only question is, where do I get in line to drink my Kool-Aid?!

    • @Get in Line

You said: “It is sad many, many people seeking Christ still will fill the seats to hear Ray Hoffman, Craig Winquest, Scott Rauscher, Jerome Frandle and the endless list goes on. The only question is, where do I get in line to drink my Kool-Aid?!” I say Amen to this!

It boggles my mind as to what is wrong with people, I think they suffer from Stockholm syndrome, research this syndrome.

The sister workers said they felt betrayed that their trust was broken again. What is wrong with people? What do they expect? When a man without a wife spends time watching PORN what is he going to do when he gets excited? This is what leads to a lot of the crimes apart from everything else that they may be doing.

The problem is that these people are living a lie. They are going against what is natural and they cannot cope. However, some of them are just that morally deficient and have no fear of God.

In the same way that the world is made up of all sorts, the meetings are made up of all sorts. Therefore, putting a badge of honour on someone just because they are in the “work” and expecting that they can do no wrong and have great authority is crazy.

When the rotten apples are revealed they need to be taken out. I believe that there is more to Scott. I heard of another worker before Dean Bruer who use to view porn, he also drank alcohol.

He went after married women and girls from every country he worked in. Some of them even fell in love with him and were willing to be with him. He was having affairs with sister workers.

Everything came to a head when one sister worker decided that she wanted to be married and not be used like that. I got very ugly and people joined forces to get him out of the work.

However, Barry Barkley was a big supporter of his and came across as very nasty. I do not trust any of those people in so-called authority because God is my only authority.

Eventually, he left and one of the sister workers who was happy to be with him while in the “work” decided to come out and marry him.

She still wanted him even after everything had come out, she told the other sister worker who wanted a marriage that it was normal for brother workers (perhaps that was her view of those whom she was involved with).

There is so much stuff! This whole story would make a sell-out blockbuster movie.

      • Nicky, you note: “There is so much stuff! This whole story would make a sell-out blockbuster movie”. In the next couple of months a big expose showing the church scandal is coming out on a major US tv network. Interviews are being taken now to provide the backstory.

      • “Stockholm syndrome” is correct and is adopted by people to cope. Especially people who have been in a situation that seems endless. In the “fellowship”, this applies especially to people who have been born into the religion, and brought up in a situation that seems ” normal “, because to them, nothing else is known. Let alone the abuser is living in their house. It is a coping mechanism to a captive, or abusive situation. People develop positive feelings toward their captors or abusers over time. This condition applies to situations including child abuse, coach-athlete abuse, relationship abuse and sex trafficking. The grooming by a worker, that is in a leadership position, is the perfect scenario for abuse to fester and thus, have the Stockholm syndrome to manifest itself. Yes, it is happening.
These words show the Stockholm syndrome in real time, “Below is a letter that Scott Rauscher has written to us workers and to you all. We are deeply disappointed as our own trust has been broken yet again…”. People accept the same bad outcome over and over and over. It’s almost like they expect something to change. A different result. A different answer to the same math problem. Some people say when you expect a different result from the same set of facts, you are crazy. Actually, it is a mental disorder called the Stockholm syndrome. How can an abuser leave a captive in an unlocked house and the captive just stays there for him to return and hand out more abuse? How do you have abusive men stand up in front of you and preach and people bring their kids and they all sit there in utter silence and listen to this abuser tell them how to live? Both situations have the same answer.

      • ABC News is going to air several segments in Spring 2024 regarding CSA/SA within the cult. Also, it appears that BBC News is working on a follow-up to its USA news post for one that focuses on CSA in Europe. Cult members will need to be ready to provide a response to questions from neighbors, co-workers, friends, relatives, classmates, fellow rest-home residents, etc.

      • The FBI has began an investigation regarding CSA in the cult in the USA and elsewhere. The press release from the FBI can be found at https://forms.fbi.gov/2×2. The FBI wants to talk to any and all victims and those that know about abusers.

  8. “The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.””
    Genesis 2:18
Why do the workers have to try and outsmart God and be without a spouse? Haven’t the workers shown they can’t behave? Scott Rauscher is just the latest in a long list of workers to have his cards layed on the table. Listen to God, people.

    • Important to remember – celibacy may result in unmarried relationships, but it does not cause pedophilia. Read the scientific studies. Also remember, being a worker does not cause pedophilia, but being a professing pedophile may cause some to choose the work. No scientific studies here, but the evidence is piling up.

      • (small t)

Reality needs to to be stated again and again. Thank you! IT IS also true THAT ” pornography” ALSO has nothing to do with celibacy. It has ruined many marriages.

Some have suggested the have TOO much free time. That too is not a symptom or an excuse for either, twisted, deviant, criminal behavior of which for protection of victims and these sadistic behaviors there are many state and Federal Laws with statutes demanding Hard Time. You will notice these Laws do not demand the criminals must get married to correct that behavior.

We just read Scot Rauscher’s exit letter. IT IS incomprehensible to write such drivel after being caught ‘red handed’ accessing twisted, deviant criminal entertainment?????. How much did he pay of your money for this advice to know what to write? Or is it possible to be THAT TWO FACED and still walk-upright and pretend to be Holy??? That is really scary! And he will be warmly invited into ‘our families’ homes. Is there any husband who could look at him across the table while Scott eats the meal his wife just prepared; knowing what is in Scott’s twisted mind concerning his wife –who is a woman.

The last six commandments ALL are against the ‘lust of the flesh’. Stoning was the remedy. Is there no end to the LIE and claim of innocence when the cover-up does NOT work???

  9. It is so sad that so many people think that they cannot leave. I imagine that in their minds the exit cost is just too much and it’s hard to abandon the exclusivity narrative.
For those who are considering leaving, from our experience, small group or Sunday School groups at churches provide wonderful fellowship and a way to learn about the Bible in a deeper and more connected way.
In the past year, I have learned more about the Bible and historical and cultural meanings than I did in all my lifetime going to meetings.
Unlike what I now know to be the faux unity of meetings, people in small groups at churches make eye contact offer genuine thoughts and ideas during studies. Real authentic discussions take place.
The amount of deeper understanding about the Bible out there apart for a few people attempting to stumble the KJV has been so life giving.
Best wishes to all who may want to leave. God will see you through!

    • Exit cost, thank you for your comments. I was raised in “the way” and knew nothing about any other church, other than that you could not trust them. This came from my mom, workers, friends and everyone else I/ we were to associate with. The world I was raised in was a bubble. I served the workers. I feared the workers. I did not have any real idea about Christ. My knowledge of the cross was very limited. Now, present day, after leaving the group after a very bad experience with the workers, that I knew Jesus was not looked to as the guide, my life is much different. My understanding of the Bible has expanded exponentially. It’s amazing to hear the Bible from a historical, cultural and spiritual standpoint. The Bible now has come alive. Church small groups have taught me so much! I agree 100% with your assessment, “In the past year, I have learned more about the Bible and historical and cultural meanings than I did in all my lifetime going to meetings”. What exit cost? My only regret? I didn’t make this move years ago.

    • @Exit Cost – I’m one who is choosing to stay, but not because of the “exit cost” as you call it, but rather I (and others) am pushing for change. I don’t care who you claim “started this way”…I disagree. I believe Jesus words written in the Bible were here before any of them. I also believe that God can and does raise up men and women to spread His word throughout the earth. If William et al were the only willing souls to bring the Gospel to America, so be it. That doesn’t mean they “started” anything. They simply brought the message. Do we have to keep doing what THEY did, no! We can read the scripture and ask God for help in seeing that His will would be accomplished and brought about by having a soul that is sensetive to His leading. I know workers lie, I’ve been lied to more times than I can count, they hurt people because they forget they are made from the same dust we are, and don’t uphold the scripture as written…that just means that they are human and not allowing God to work within them. The whole Bible is written about people who God used…99% were not obedient, not patient in waiting for God’s timing, not good to women, murderers, alduterers, etc. The only one in the Bible is Jesus who didn’t allow his human nature to make Him rotten in some way, because He was always patient in waiting for God to speak and lead Him. I am definitely not perfect, I have a serious trust and anger issue right now – because these wolves/criminals keep triggering me…and I’m begging for help, and God is speaking very audibly to me…and the scripture opening like it never has before. I know I don’t HAVE to attend meetings to make it to Heaven, but I love fellowship with those who love Jesus like I do. I know that standing to your feet to “profess” isn’t scriptural, and one can be saved without doing so. I know that being a “Eunich for the sake of the Gospel” isn’t always the best for everyone. I know there’s been married (and divorced) ministers in the past – unbelieveably, some even gave up their children to others to raise?!! Some have bach’s throughout the world (I know some here in America have been used as sex houses…and even places where they took the friends children to bach’s to abuse them)…and that’s just a tiny part of what I DO know…ugh!

There is MUCH change that needs to take place, I don’t know if it will all happen in my lifetime (or before the World ends), but I want God to know that I will do my part in however He leads me. So, right now, the most important efforts are to support every victim who wants help, for those that are affraid to come forward, or feel “it’s too late”…I’m praying for you…but, know, it’s never too late! If you are here in Washington State we have a fund set up to help with the cost of professional help, and you can access it anonymously. Just have someone else send me an email at: henoffour@gmail.com and I will give them the contact information. For those who aren’t being heard and are being forced to attend with predators and be happy about it, or YOU can’t attend. The ministry might think they are being “merciful” to the predator, but they are actually being an accomplice. No predator will EVER attend a meeting for Spiritual purposes…it’s ALWAYS to find their next victim. So, the predators sin will be on the overseers heads and any worker that goes along with the directive, and every Elder that allows them into their home.

      • I applaud you pushing for change to make the fellowship safer. Are you also pushing to have the false doctrines changed as well? I tried pushing for change for a little while but it was like running against a brick wall. I left and started attending another church that doesn’t have a CSA crisis or a bunch of false doctrines.

  10. Heidi says above that she was “betrayed” by Rauscher due to his admitted “soft porn” viewing. Wondering how many SHE betrayed for standing by and doing nothing regarding the horrible CSA as described in the July 2, 2023 letter or attaching her John Hancock to Rauscher’s recent letter that leadership in Montana/Wyoming were no longer going to listen to past CSA/SA issues?

    • Bucky, you are absolutely correct in pointing out that Heidi Bryant sided with Scott Rauscher, and also, Tammy Carr and  Alexis Carrier were listed as supporters of the letter posted:

BY WINGSFORTRUTH2, Montana and Wyoming workers blocking historic cases.

In that letter Scott, Heidi, Tammy and Alexis said, “From today, we will not accept any (sexual abuse) complaints about the past. If there is anything illegal or criminal in any way, we are asking you to take it to the police. We will only deal with the present and the future”.

It appears Heidi, Tammy and Alexis are sick of hearing about victims tell their events of abuse that people had to endure and still deal with, and the workers that betrayed these victims trust.

Heidi, Tammy and Alexis, though, felt “betrayed” by the guy they sided with, Scott Rauscher, when they learned he was “following pornography”. The three offended said, ““We will trust you until we can’t.”

The victims of sexual abuse that were told by Heidi, Tammy and Alexis that said, “We will not accept any (sexual abuse) complaints about the past”. The sexual assault victims should say about these three offended women, “we will trust you until we can’t.” These three women have fingers pointing right back at themselves.

  11. The FBI has began an investigation regarding the CSA issue in the cult. The press release from the FBI can be found at https://forms.fbi.gov/2×2. Wonder if Wings can put this release at the top of your web page. The FBI is looking for any and all CSA victims and wants them to contact the FBI.

  12. Huh. So at this point, I’m just going to expect that every worker who has pushed back and shoved things under the rug is hiding something.
