WINGS is pleased to announce the establishment of Renewal North, a Canadian assistance fund for two major needs, as identified below. Renewal North is modeled on the US initiative Bridges and Balm, which has already done a lot of great work supporting CSA survivors and transitioning workers.
We encourage you to support these efforts. Donations can be made through their websites here:

Renewal North
Renewal North is a Canadian non-profit corporation (currently seeking charity status) dedicated to assisting people who have been associated with the fellowship of friends and workers. This includes assisting in two identified areas of need.
CSA/SA Assistance Fund: Renewal North partners with other organizations to support survivors of child sexual abuse (CSA) or adult sexual abuse (SA) in their journey to health and healing, whether that means therapy, emotional support, housing options or other resources. Privacy and discretion will be given to all who seek help.
Transitioning Workers Fund: Assists and supports workers who are making the move from serving the ministry to living a secular life. For various reasons, there are individuals who have left or would like to leave the ministry and find themselves in need of support. This fund is an ongoing external resource, independent of the ministry, to supplement and bring relief to situations where care has been insufficient. Each applicant’s situation is different, and each will be carefully assessed to maximize resources. Assistance may be temporary financial help for immediate needs, but also help with life skills, emotional support, advice and assistance with employment, and home searching or education options.
If you or someone you know could benefit from either of these supports, please reach out. You can start by visiting the website or clicking the link for the program you are interested in. Renewal North also has links to comprehensive resources for people in crisis.

YES, YES and YES! (I am not sure using all caps is politically/religiously correct, but I will go with it)
This is a good day for me! When I see neighbours getting together with neighbors. Getting together and helping neighbors or neighbours. (subtle difference between neighbors and neighbours) I had this thought some time ago…if only a team of people in Canada would join Bridges and Balm in a similar way, set up a legitimate charity entity to help where help is needed. The reason being for two sister organizations each side of the 49th is about tax law, not about competition. And what I like about it? It is not a shell game. And I can buy into something that is not a shell game.
So it is a good day for me. Bridges and Balm and their neighbour Renewal North, coming together to make a difference. I like it! Apples of golden in pictures of silver. A picture of faith, hope and charity. Undeniably.
And needless to say, the top brass in the church continue to peach that Bridges and Balm and Renewal North are needless. Just another needless cloud showing up they say that would cloud their perfection, their unblemished glory. They will throw out some zingers now and then and come off strong about something like ‘everyone is a sinner’…but if they just listened to themselves for a moment, that is like bringing everyone’s attention to the ant hill that was just disturbed by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake. I too though was very much taken up in the ant hill for most of my life also. Industrious, busy preparing…but telling people my scope was so so very broad and deep…from the seas to the rivers and up the mountains to heaven.
And speaking of zingers. I got to watching and thinking about so many zingers going around lately. Enough zingers in the ‘churches’ to sink a battleship. And I got to thinking that in the past, the unsuspecting, unsuspecting that they needed to get their shields of faith out of their back pocket and do something with it, did not realize they were yielding or being amenable to the zingers.
But here is the thing, and the top brass did not really expect it. They justly may be perplexed. I call it a pumpkin perplextion. But no one is saying anything. The stoicism of the generals in the church are stony faced and silent. No emotion to reveal the cards they are holding. And here is another thing. Those zingers? You know what zingers do when people realize they need to start using their shields of faith? Ya. The zingers bounce off! And you know where they go when they bounce off the shields? Ya. Right by the ear of the guy holding the religious bazooka. You know what I have found in life? When I would stand up on my soap box with my most wholesome and most perfect bazooka, and shoot some zingers to someone outside the church, and a chuckle came back past my ear, I used to think that person had no awareness. I misinterpreted the chuckle.
So here is what I suggest to the top brass in the church. Ask the holy spirit something. One thing okay? At least one thing. Ask the holy spirit why you do not know now what is in the heads of the generals in the church. Okay? Because sooner or later, your own zingers may start sinking in.
Something else I like about Bridges and Balm and their neighbor Renewal North? Their fund makes provision for the transitioning workers. Now this word transitioning will unsettle the people and some of the wokers. Because religion has this propensity about it to take a Word and shred it until it is no longer recognizable. But I do think there is a need, though the top brass say it is needless. The point of view of the top brass businessmen is, the workers do not need any kind of retirement fund nor safety net. In essence, they put the homeless ministry, their very own they said were brothers and sisters in Christ…they put them on the street to fend for themselves. This to me is something out of Jekyll and Hyde. The Hyde parts being favorite fodder at conventions.
And I have been wondering lately why my grandfather used to twiddle his thumbs so much. Was it to look busy? Was it to send a message? Or did he just enjoy twiddling his thumbs? I don’t remember if I ever asked him. So maybe I will ask the people. Why did my grandfather twiddle his thumbs so much?
Oh my. The pieces of the puzzle are coming together. And the top brass of the church says their piece/peace is the only one that matters, and turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to all the other pieces. Needless to say, including the pieces in need. Oh the luxury! It says somewhere, maybe in Jekyll and Hyde, that the winners will be losers and the losers will be winners. The top brass in the church seem to be still working on their beloved theory of who is who. If only they could get into the heads of their projected ‘losers’, they would be all set.
I hope I did not cramp anyone’s style too much. The style of the 2×2 church. There is hope for all though. Though I think that hope only comes when one has faith in charity. Simple math that is kept from the sounding brass, sounding to the people. Some of the people may have taken their shields out of their back pockets recently. And no longer buying into having the clergy help them with their back pockets. A subtle zinger of “let us unload all your cares!”
Just send in a big donation to Renewal North Mark. 🙂 Seriously, this is how we can all be part of the solution. I was part of the problem, and now I am trying to flip that.
I will let you in on a secret BGM. I don’t want the church to know this since the left hand should not know what the right hand does. But my contribution # was the run-up to the year of Jubilee.
But yours and my contributions will be no issue and no burden to those that are curious in the church. Curious to know how many in the church they rub shoulders with that are contributing.
I hear what you are saying about being part of the problem prior. It is a whole new universe that has opened up to me to finally put my foot down and figure out how to be part of the solution. Now there are those that consider me now part of the problem, but I find it is all about perspective.
Don’t worry that some consider you part of the problem. There will always be those. Supporting Renewal North and Bridges&Balm are unquestionably being part of the solution. While I am not part of those organizations, I thank you for your generosity. I will be an ongoing support for them because this is an ongoing need.
….the fields are white, the need is great…but let the marionettes now forever hold their peace pose.
OMGOSH. You just can’t help some people. Enough said.
Touché @amphisbaenasparkly9a09bf2d42. Touché!
There are many in the church that would have crossed paths with the writing and research of a lady by the name of Jane Goodall. She spent a good part of her life studying chimpanzees. She died recently.
Now the church would tell the people that Jane’s studies of chimpanzees had nothing to do with religious sciences and definitely nothing to do with spiritual understanding nor insight. I don’t really agree.
There was an interview with Ms Goodall not long ago before her death and she was asked what she would want to be remembered for after her death. She said she wanted to be remembered for “somebody sent to this world to try to give people hope in dark times, because without hope, we fall into apathy and do nothing.”
So those people in the church warming their hands under themselves as they sit on their bibles and hope and pray for the peace of their city, their city, this may seem like the motherlode of hope to them. But here is the last part of what she said, namely “because without hope, we fall into apathy and do nothing“… put in a different way but retaining the meaning, “if we have apathy and do nothing, then the people will be left with not much hope”.
So how can the people have hope, if they congruently have apathy and do nothing? And it really interests me why the leaders of the church still do not have the courage after 2-1/2 yrs to stand up and take the blame…putting their congregants into this spiral of hopelessness. People see, people do! So the people say, if the leaders find it is divine to not have the courage to take the blame, then it must be divine for us also.
People see, people do. That is what my studies have found.
Did “your studies” truly find the 2nd paragraph of your comment to be accurate? Or is this another assumption?
I have not heard anything like that from “the Church”, assuming you are referring to “the 2X2” belief system. Or understand it from my limited knowledge of its doctrine.
Any clarification would be helpful?
Prepare yourself. You cracked open a window so now the crosswind is going to burst in through the door.
I hope it’s chinook wind….🤞
Yes Junior. I can clarify. That particular paragraph has no particular value. It can neither be proven nor substantiated. My assumption was that people would gloss over it.
Sometimes there are paragraphs in writings that have no particular value. It happens in my writing also.
However, it was somewhat of a competitive type of belief I have now. To compete with the substantiated and proven belief found in the church that strong he-man perps need tender loving care, mercy and forgiveness…and the victims should be hated and never forgiven for what they did. And what they did meaning, they spoke up and said something about the he-man perps, and the he-man perps told the workers there was a grand scheme, a conspiracy against them. And the workers were burdened with their dear plight. This sort of thing illustrates quite clearly (to me just being one) that it is proven and substantiated it has been the pattern of success for the ministry over the years of who’s who in the matter of who the ministry must fear and who not to. The perps for some reason needed to be treated with feathered kid gloves, whereas the children victims needed to have boxing gloves employed on them. And if the ministry’s boxing gloves were not doing the job, the ministry commissioned some of their followers to help them out, dealing with the child, or the child’s parents or grandparents as the case may have been. And friends of the parents or grandparents generally had the faith and insight and understanding and wisdom and clarity to stay clear of the boxing gloves. Rub a dub dub, three Mohammad Ali’s in a tub.
This is where I suggest that the he-man brothers that pose as marionettes in the ministry need to step aside and let some sisters that don’t mind putting on their True Religion jeans and work boots be allowed to get their humanity out of the closet, dust it off and let them do the riding and roping.
I only wished I had of invested in a pair of those True Religion jeans while I went to meeting. It is substantiated and proven they can turn heads in meeting. Seen it with my own eyes. I think it makes the others wonder, because of being taken up with what the workers want out of their lives and what worker-wear approved garments are…it makes people wonder what might be in the heart, mind and soul of the one wearing the True Religion jeans. You know, I do think there is a general acknowledgement and respect of bravery in the church. Somehow however, bravery is deemed akin to sin by the foundational fathers. Deemed as disrespect of the he-man enforcers. Evidently it was sinning against the marionettes. I know some very strong men in the church…still seemingly afraid of the marionettes. But maybe they are starting to dust off their humanity also and realizing they are not yet ascended, not yet transformed as angels of light. I am curious to understand where the pence in the treasury disappeared to.
Oh those ‘darling angels’ the crew want in meetings. The crew for some reason say these ‘darling angels’ are uncommon and clean. All wrapped up in a sheet, and the leaders are eating it up that that shete was let down from heaven. You ever eaten pork hoax Junior? Peter Peter said the pork hoax were good to go. And to be clear to the people, Peter Peter is a different guy than Simon Peter. It bothered me that maybe people were making some assumptions in my writing.
So I ask the question: do the leaders of the crew fear the ‘darling angels’ for naught? Is there more to the story? Take your seat folks; the rodeo is well under way. And the ones in the church that thought they were real life bronc busters? This might be more than just a staged photo op for heaven’s photo album.
If you have never joined the church Junior, why don’t you try it? You might like it. There are a pile of very good people in the church. I just do not know what has got into their mind now. But whatever it is, it seems to be sticking. It says somewhere in the book of Revelation that there would come a time when God would put some sticky notes in a number of ‘their’ minds and it would be rodeo time. (paraphrasing of course). Time for the PBR’s in the church to rise like a whirlwind and shine… and come forth as gold. Afterall, gold breached $4,000 and oz yesterday. The religious spin masters in the church that say nothing is going on? The price of gold might make you want to change your mind. Why they cannot see, I do not know. Maybe their spiritual cowboy jeans are on backwards. It’s all shiggles and giggles, until someone giggles and shiggles.
So this thing about prophecy. I spent about 16 hours of windshield time with a guy in the last two days that does not go to any kind of church, but I have worked with him for 35 years and know he is honest. I mentioned to him about people not ‘getting’ prophecy because it is hard to understand, and he said to me “it is meant to be hard to understand, no?”
Good luck everyone on their studies. Or at least I suggest to start studying. And once you study the ‘saviors’ of the perps for about 5 minutes (all it should take to get the perps and their protectors figured out), move on to more important things. And ya, the shiggles storm is blowing in from both directions. Use Q-Tips man! Because dirt is blowing in from both directions. And the rain does not fix the situation. Someone in the corporation convinced the people that God wanted their hat size and IQ to be one and the same. I don’t buy it that that is the truth of the matter. I suggest the people get serious, instead of feeding on the cereal Fruit Loops. The people need to ask whether food coloring is good for the people. Blue, red and Yellow # 5 might be killers as I understand it.
Thank you for your clarification. This helps in understanding where you are coming from. Every experience is truly unique to the soul it touches, and I respect that.
Thank you Junior. Life is turning into being too short. I need to stop worrying about the imposters. I am fine though them saying I went the wrong way on the Bridge of Fools.
I can just no longer abide by the ‘no paper cuts for the workers’ policy. They for some reason forgot that everyone’s blood runs red. Through the passage of time, they seem to get to thinking that the Holy Spirit turns their blood blue. I call them hob-knobbing swingers now. Pansies growing out of a pair of jackboots. Insisting it is pronounced panzers. Standing tall and proud of their most perfect self denial, made willing to try and land upper-cuts on the children. The children prick their conscience and the panzers in the church cry foul.
Maybe one or more of the sisters will man-up and trash the ‘no paper cuts for the workers’ policy. No doubt though it is too late to turn the tide on such a proven and robust policy. Those paper cuts can be downright nasty things. Hellish things to admit the honest truth of it.
…I have been shown I was not all right in that last comment. Not in it’s entirety…things are not all as they seem.
I haven’t been keeping up to date with what is being said in meeting, so I do not know. Can someone tell me if the main gist of the message is to stay off the internet? So that people cannot read anything that might make them question that the story about Jesus is not all about them?
Here is the thing I see. They may want to look at the internet. Because as they are saying presently today that the story of Jesus is all about them and they are insulated from the world, they are also saying through simple arithmetic that the whole world is on their side.
So here is what the leaders need to think about. And I do think it is fair that I try to help them understand something in the last throughs of glory, since I was good with them providing me instruction for 55 years and I never hardly once kicked back. Just a few quiet, timid questions here and there to individual workers…one time to two sisters that sat at my table. That one time with two sisters, the one I knew answered the question honestly, the other one not so much. The honest one left the work a year or two later.
Here is what I would like them to think about today, October 15, 2025 on the dial. Y’all said we will not take responsibility after Dean Bruer’s grave was opened and opportunity arose from that grave. Opportunity of insight, opportunity of revelation, opportunity of inspiration, the opportunity of awareness, the opportunity to use words to redeem their souls. I get a sense, they think someone else is going to use His words to be their redeemer in this matter. You are tongue tied now…I am sure you will have the clout to tell him to loose His tongue later to say, ‘Whatta good boy are you! Here stick in your thumb and pull out a plum for yourself”. I have started to question the plum-line they have been speaking of over the years.
I drew from the internet about this word we throw around like a sack of potatoes at convention, this word salvation. Here is the outcome of me typing in “what was the prior word for salvation”. It returned “Salvation was historically called soteria in Greek, a word that also encompassed concepts like healing, safety, and deliverance from peril. The word “salvation” itself is the Latin translation of this Greek term. In Hebrew, the root word for salvation is related to yeshua, meaning “relief” or “deliverance” from trouble or illness.”
Soooo…y’all seem to think…that this word salvation only means us. The ‘you us’. Our relief, our healing, our safety, our deliverance from peril.
So when you think of this responsibility that you have been quite selective in with respect to the victims of the mitts of power in the church, think of this. The key note speakers in the organization are ultimately taking responsibility for the whole congregation. The whole thing. The whole lot. Everyone of them, save none.
Read the newspapers. Because I for one am thinking that someone has a hold on someone. And all that someone had to say was, “I am sick and tired, and faint from crying…and all these spiritual tears are making a mess of my garment of hypocrisy”. We just wanted to look pleasing…that’s all!
The best way to fix those spiritual tear stains on those dinner jackets and dresses? Just shred them bit by bit. One thread at a time. I can attest that it takes courage, it takes guts, it takes faith and it takes time to do this. And one other thing you will need to say to yourself, “I don’t care what anyone thinks”…”I just care what Truth thinks”. “That is the way I will go, truth’s way”.
And voila! All of a sudden the story is no longer all about just us, and poor poor little old me being part of us.
The flame is licking at the tails of the dinner jackets of those that took on that responsibility.
No, in case any wonder, I am not playing with my rattle. And not celebrating my ignorance. But maybe just being led by the children. Peace will now be elusive, until the church comes to the reckoning that peace is not exclusive. Even if that point of view was 66.6% or even 99% truth, all it takes is a 1% hole in it to let the sea on board. My prior view of what being holy and holesome was. I used to think I was handsome too, but oh well. No longer judging books by their cover though.
And speaking of 66.6% wholesome, the math is mathing relatively quickly in my estimation. Hold on to your hats. I do not think the 2×2 church will ever be great again like it once was. Not as great as it once was, but great once as it ever was I suppose. The saber toothed tiger is getting long in the tooth. A bit more room for the teeth to grow though while it is given opportunity to put everyone else out of the room/house. In that day when the tiger climbs onto a shelf in the corner and falls asleep, no one knows what will happen. But the children may say in that day “Touché…mind if I close my eyes now?” They may say “I have watched long enough, and my care has produced no fruit that their kingly hearts would be turned to the children”.
One thing I question: Did the sheep pick the shepherds? Or did the shepherds pick the shepherds? Some things we may never know. But one thing I am confident of, the ‘shepherds’ have picked out their sheep with precision.
Today is Saturday 18 Sept 2025. Not that I needed to reach out to all my friends and neighbours around the world to tell them this. I am sure they are all well aware. But I was forward thinking about the All Kings Day tomorrow, which is Sunday the 19th. Just another Sunday. I will not be at meeting naturally, but who knows, I may be there in spirit wondering about Truth. Wondering how all the kings are doing.
So when you all sit around in the circle, then think of a question as you raise the regular portion of your glass in a toast to the kings, and to the princes. The princes of all the provinces.
And as you raise that glass in toast to the kings and princes of the provinces, maybe you could give a thought to the people that I read about. The people that said to God in the story that God had voted with bias and He must have been confused or partial when he told the people they could have a king, but the king would want their sons and their daughters. And the people thought, but they did not think long. Through the passage of time, the kings thought longer and the people thought shorter. By and by, opportunity changed hands in that balance.
And the people were good with that. The king would be their protector, and their thinker. And the king would protect their children and grandchildren and great grandchildren also. From generation to generation.
And I ask the parents and grandparents. How are things? Honestly, how are you doing? Are you really cool with someone else thinking for your child or grandchild? Sure it is good when the kings and their princes are upbeat and positive and those emotional states can rub off on to others. But contagious emotions can be a battle. The kings and princes are somewhat depressed and pointing at all the people ‘without’ saying they are all to blame for their depression and their funk…and the people within think they are immune to the funky contagion. There will be bread and to spare they say…and their kings and princes will raise them up to walk on mountains. “Just gotta give them some time” the people say. “You will see”.
Uh-huh. I suppose I will. I saw many more things in the night. It seems there are some that are grudgingly coming around to the truth. But to the kings and princes I say. “You have been good wiping away the moth and the canker from the front of your garment, but did you have no friends? Or did your friends not feel entitled to let you in on the little secret detail? The little detail that the back of your garment was covered. Kinda like coming home from a dinner party, looking in the mirror and seeing a booger hanging from your nose…wishing maybe that you had of taken a friend to the party with you.
Kingly overseers…it is only a suggestion and I don’t want you being offended with me too much if you can afford it. But I suggest you turn around and look at the back of your garment. Or otherwise, just ask for more slaps on the back for a great job and hope that does the trick.
Dean Bruer is still having ‘pull’ from the grave it seems. It seems he pulled that hymn from the hymnal, the one about ‘our garments change’. Dino Boy cherished his own library of one book, and thought the rest of the world should be just as awake and thoughtful as he. Funny how religion cloaked as The Righteous One, ‘thinks for itself’…yet does not ‘think for itself’. Dino thought for himself, that is quite evident…and people organically did what he did without thinking. Like my Greek? I reflect back on why my English teacher in grade 11 was a frustrated woman.
My question is, why do the ‘churches’ teach that truth must follow righteousness? To me, truth must lead the way, otherwise righteousness gets pushed or forced. And when righteousness or the appearance of righteousness gets pushed or forced, truth become subservient to all else. The cart gets in front of the horse. And religious enterprise has this notion that horses are better at pushing than they are at pulling. Overseers…I see the wheels on your carts are digging in to the mud a little. Try putting your truth out front of your beautiful cart of righteousness and try pulling. Because you have a lot of people coming behind you thinking they can blast the gate doin’ 98 with their carts, and the cart will drag their horse through behind it.
Don’t worry yourselves you princes. I am quite fine dragging my own cart through the mud. Y’all must be frightfully tired pushing your own cart and dragging mine. But good on you to lend a pull to the carts behind you…as long as your cart is first past the post, that is all that matters I suppose…in this life or that to come. How you have the next life all figured out meanwhile posing as big stuff in this life, I do not know. Chlorine in the tap water of religion was supposed to kill all the bugs on the inside forever…but the jury is out and it may just be a fallacy. Bad science and not well peer reviewed nor proven.
Is that coffee brewing I smell? It smells like a dark roast. Overseers and princes, and princesses…don’t let your own beans get roasted too long…because you must by now have been given the knowledge that leaving the beans on the fire too long and they become bitter. The bellyache is shifting feet. Watch what happens when the bellyache moves from low places to high places. The thoughts of ‘me most perfect’ thoughts start gurgling. And bellyaches in the brain of an organization are not good…in my estimation. Surely there must be more to this life than just showing up and belonging, no? Maybe a sort of ‘righteous’ belonging where truth has no way, no? Will you say no to that?
Anyway, whatever. Whatever anyone wants to think…or not think. Thinking that not thinking is informed thinking. That must feel like heaven’s paradise to bypass or skim over the gulf of reality. Overseers and princes and princesses…no time like the present to stick your toe in and get your feet wet. It starts by getting your eye away from your golden calf. The golden calf that maybe someday soon, someone will take it from you and melt it down and turn it into earrings. Not nose rings, not tongue rings…but earrings.
Overseers, princes and princesses; for some reason Dino Boy still has your ear, telling you to tell the people not to watch. That seems like a lot of accountability to the people to take that burden on to yourselves, no? You committed to bringing the riches to give to the people but you have been fine with letting the children perish. How so you figure?
You speak of the chinook coming over the mountain @Junior Jones. It might be the bear coming over the mountain this time, coming out of hibernation. I’ve seen the bear. He is not concerned about anything, but I would not say he is not hungry. The princes say ‘we are making a difference’, meanwhile being indifferent. Strange stuff. The house must needs come down evidently in my estimation. And it will be left up to the thinkers to figure out how to rebuild it. The thinkers will not be stressing about how long a cubit is. They will see beyond a cubit and their own feedbag. The foundational fathers of the 2×2 church say they are connected to Jerusalem, but not connected at the same time. Hard to please these people’s thinking. Puzzle masters they say they are, holding one piece of it up and showing it around, turning one little piece over and over, indecisive on whether to put it in or leave it out. The kings and princes and princesses are making history, but I am not confident they know how.
Have a good meeting tomorrow y’all. I will be thinking about you all. Just try not to think of it as a bad thing. I don’t know you all by name…or maybe I do. I suppose I do know if you are all still taking your own name. Sounds like a bit of vanity to me, but oh well. A group of people all wearing the same garment while saying they are living the/their truth seems a bit suspicious to me now. Life only once you can live it, oh what a great solemn thought. What do you want people? You say once and then you say you will live twice, and the second time will be so much better. Call my face the confused one if you will. Your will is best, just follow on I suppose.
I here you Mark….keep up the thoughts
I judge that the legislative reasoning of the executive branch of the church could not save them. I saw three pillars laying on a shipping pallet last night.
