Michael J Dunn was convicted in 2004 of Sexual Conduct Without Consent on a 22 year old male in 2002 and sentenced to one year imprisoment.. He had a previous conviction in 1999 of Sexual Abuse-2nd Degree on a 13 year old male in 1998.
It is understood that after release from prison he was not allowed in meetings with the victim but otherwise allowed to go to fellowship meetings.

Was going to fellowship meetings on the ACTUAL Release orders? Does he have to register as a sex offender? If so, there are specific laws that have to be followed.
I no longer trust the word of any worker. Look up the info yourself, because I’ve seen and heard too many LIES out of some higher up overseers and workers. (Which I NEVER thought I would be witness to seeing such blatant dishonesty from them)

What was the thinking by management on how this would affect victims and those supporting victims that are trying to move on with rebuilding lives? Couldn’t victims lives rate higher than felons? Seems like a great place for zoom meetings vs in person – forever. So sad, and another slap for victims of abuse having to endure.
He shouldn’t be going to any meetings in any kind of a private property or residence where they have the legal right to deny him entrance.
I know and love this man and his wife. He is a Vietnam veteran who had a diagnosis of severe PTSD and Dissociative Identity Disorder. His psychiatrists have assessed him to no longer be a threat, because his dissociative disorder has been treated and resolved. He does not attend convention, and attends only meetings with intimate friends, close to home, who all have expressed that they want him there. I have every respect for the needs of victims, to not attend meeting with an offender. However, I believe there needs to be some discretion for individual cases and circumstances. If there is a situation in which the friends in a meeting are comfortable with a past offender attending meeting with them, and there is no opportunity for abuse to occur, why should there be a blanket rule that says the person cannot attend. This was a situation where the friends all stated that they want Mike to be part of their meeting.
We absolutely need to validate and support victims, and require accountability from offenders. I believe we also need to use wisdom and discretion in looking at individual situations, and not denying fellowship if there’s no threat to anyone’s safety or well-being.

I’m going to give a unpopular reality check for most people here if you think you can hide behind whatever mental illness this world has you dream up and claims you have. Come judgement day i fear for you. There a reason why God talk about spirts and demons in the bible. There are real as night and day and you can not use them for excuse for your sin because you invited them in. Very hard to grasp for 99 percent of people and even harder for victims of csa. The truth is pretty brutal. Also no man that preaches the world of god and dose these things in his name are of God so cast them out yesterday.
